After a rather tough play, SC Tanganheira's Óscar Azevedo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Eusébio Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Brás's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Eusébio Moutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Miranda went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in SC Tanganheira's zone, Vítor Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Moutinho came out of the goal and Vítor Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Américo Brás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Tanganheira's Eusébio Moutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucas Moura made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Carlos Pedroso sent off a good shot on target. Lucas Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Paiva in the 22nd minute of play. Carlos Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Moura having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Tanganheira's Vicente Veiga got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Alexandre Paiva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eusébio Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Américo Brás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Pedroso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Tanganheira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 68th minute, SC Tanganheira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vítor Miranda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Moreiro FC's Américo Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Aguiar during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes SC Tanganheira got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Aguiar. After a rather tough play, SC Tanganheira's Adelino Nogueira got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Alexandre Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Brás in the 89th minute of play. The Moreiro FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Tanganheira from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
