Thanks to some nice moves Joel Viana could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Eduardo Fontes however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Taboabela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Filipe Dantas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Santarém in the 13th minute of play forced Taboabela's goalkeeper Miguel Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvide's Eduardo Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Cardoso in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Alvide's goalkeeper Eduardo Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Viana. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Cardoso in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Taboabela's Joel Viana got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvide's goalkeeper Eduardo Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taboabela's Miguel Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Porto in the 39th minute of play. Vítor Cardoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Cardoso ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Cardoso in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vítor Cardoso made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Taboabela's Vítor Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Brito having to interfere. Taboabela's Miguel Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Taboabela from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Taboabela's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Santarém came free, but Miguel Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vítor Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Taboabela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Manuel Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Brito having to interfere. Miguel Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Santarém's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After having played for 86 minutes, Óscar Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes Taboabela got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Amaral. After 90 minutes Taboabela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vasco Matias who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Alvide's Óscar Pinheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Brito despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Armando Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Alvide booed when Taboabela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
