The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rui Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 7 minutes, Alexandre Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Barroja and the Adgiraldo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the match, Adgiraldo FC's João Pires broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 18th match minute, Adgiraldo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Correia to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Alexandre Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Álvaro Valente. Alexandre Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Nuno Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Álvaro Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Correia hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Nuno Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Valente having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Cláudio Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Rui Gaspar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. José Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Luís Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Valente having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Luís Delgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Valente was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rui Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Martins having to interfere. The supporters of Adgiraldo FC booed when SC Barroja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Alexandre Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match João Pires shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Martins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of SC Barroja booed when Adgiraldo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Barroja had won after a very even match.
