Catarino Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Repolao's Catarino Cunha got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Rui Brito struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Cristiano Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Feteira. SC Feteira's Albertino Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Luz in the 8th minute of play. Rui Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Abreu having to make a save. Rui Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristiano Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rui Brito came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Feteira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Brito couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of SC Repolao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Feteira:s goal. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, SC Feteira's José Dantas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristiano Abreu. Lourenço Luz struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Albertino Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Repolao. The audience was convinced that Lourenço Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Amaro was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Lourenço Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Luz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cristiano Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. António Pinho hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Rui Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Catarino Nogueira's late challenge caught a SC Repolao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Feteira getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Catarino Nogueira hit a great ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Lourenço Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Repolao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armindo Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rui Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Abreu was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, SC Feteira's Armindo Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
