Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Feteira's Armindo Vieira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Álvaro Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Meirico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. António Viegas was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Armindo Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armindo Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 17th match minute, SC Feteira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Brito to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes SC Meirico got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Pinho. Heitor Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albertino Amaro having to make a save. If Armindo Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Rui Brito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Albertino Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 played minutes SC Feteira got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Nogueira. Albertino Amaro came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Meirico's Álvaro Vieira. But to his dismay, Álvaro Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 44 played minutes SC Feteira got a freekick which was hit by Rui Brito. If Heitor Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Álvaro Vieira made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Vieira in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Amaro saved SC Feteira from getting behind. With a little luck, SC Feteira's Albertino Amaro got control of the ball when Heitor Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, SC Feteira's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Vieira came free, but Albertino Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, SC Meirico's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Nogueira came free, but António Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Feteira's Albertino Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Vieira in the 80th minute of play. SC Meirico were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after SC Feteira's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodrigo Soares took the corner. Heitor Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute of the match Rodrigo Soares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albertino Amaro skillfully saved the ball. Álvaro Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Álvaro Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Albertino Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
