Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernando Vale started the match with the kick off. Afonso Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Vale in the 3rd minute of play. Fernando Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When André Melo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pomar's protests and gave André Melo a yellow card for diving instead. André Melo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Afonso Carvalho came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Chaveirinha's João Sousa. But to his dismay, João Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of SC Pomar booed when SC Chaveirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Sá made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when André Melo sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Sá was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Esteves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Fernando Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Afonso Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Carvalho having to make a save. In the 30th match minute, SC Chaveirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. Luís Moutinho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of SC Chaveirinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Pomar:s goal. The goalkeeper, Manuel Sá, was totally fooled by SC Pomar's Bento Gomes, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by José Esteves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. André Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. André Melo might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. André Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Esteves was the one to do the kick off. If André Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SC Chaveirinha getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Carlos Oliveira hit a great ball. Fernando Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bento Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. SC Pomar's Afonso Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save SC Pomar from getting a goal against them. Afonso Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SC Pomar getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. André Melo hit a great ball. With a little luck, SC Pomar's Afonso Carvalho got control of the ball when João Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Pomar's Afonso Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SC Pomar from getting a goal against them. João Sousa came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Afonso Carvalho could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in SC Chaveirinha's zone, André Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Sá came out of the goal and André Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 99 minutes, José Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pomar and the SC Chaveirinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 99th match minute, SC Pomar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Chaveirinha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Pomar.
