Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Costa took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Joaquim Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 played minutes SC Goaes got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Pinto. Tiago Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Figueiredo went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Mares getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Rui Leal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Joaquim Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Goaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Machado having to interfere. Júlio Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Mares's Cláudio Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Júlio Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the match, SC Goaes's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Queirós came free, but Tiago Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Joaquim Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Moniz. Mares's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Queirós made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Cláudio Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 61st minute, Ricardo Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 65 minutes into the game, Jaime Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Goaes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mares the free kick. Jaime Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Mares booed when SC Goaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Jesus in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Costa in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Moniz saved Mares from getting behind. 76 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Aleixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mares's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Goaes the free kick. Rogério Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Costa in the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Cláudio Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Jaime Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rogério Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mares had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
