In the 3rd minute Jaime Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Alves in the 7th minute of the match. Joel Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Alves in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Barcel getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Pedro Borges hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Delgado in the 16th minute of play forced SC Barreiria's goalkeeper Jorge Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Barcel's Pedro Borges got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Lourenço Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Joel Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Barcel's Joel Domingues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Barcel from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Barcel's Joel Domingues got control of the ball when Lourenço Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Lourenço Pinheiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Barreiria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 37th match minute, Barcel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Armindo Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Barreiria getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Manuel Teixeira hit a great ball. José Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jorge Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Alves was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Barcel's Pedro Gomes got a free kick in the 51st minute. José Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Barros having to interfere. Joel Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armindo Alves's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Lourenço Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Joel Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Barreiria had won after a very even match.
