Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Afonso Azevedo kicked off to start the match. Raul Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Leite having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Setúbal during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Umbria booed when SC Cevide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Setúbal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Anjos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Emílio Delgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Leite skillfully saved the ball. Gaspar Correia hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Umbria's Artur Luz got a free kick in the 36th minute. After recieving a nice pass, SC Cevide's José Santarém tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gaspar Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Miguel Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Raul Simões came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Umbria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Simões couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Afonso Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gaspar Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Umbria's zone, Afonso Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Anjos came out of the goal and Afonso Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. Miguel Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Azevedo in the 75th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Anjos was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Gaspar Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raul Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaspar Correia struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Miguel Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cevide. José Martins's late challenge caught a Umbria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Martins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, SC Cevide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Martins to maneuver through the defense. SC Cevide's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
