SC Paramio's Rogério Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Veiga in the 14th minute of play. Rui Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Faro's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Pedro Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Paramio's Rogério Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carigas's Rui Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Faro in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Filipe Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carigas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Paramio the free kick. José Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Viana having to interfere. José Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Viana having to make a save. Rogério Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 40 played minutes SC Paramio got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Costa. In the 41st minute, Hugo Coimbra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Paramio's Rogério Luz didn't even have to move. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Veiga to make the kick off. SC Paramio's José Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Lima hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Pedro Veiga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 60th play minutes José Faro shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Rui Viana and just under the crossbar into goal. 66 minutes into the game, Pedro Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Luz. Pedro Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 74 minutes into the match, Carigas's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Correia came free, but Rui Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, José Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Paramio's supporters rose to their feet, but José Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Viana having to interfere. When José Faro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the SC Paramio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Faro couldn't finish the play. José Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Viana having to interfere.
