After a defensive mix-up in Alares FC's zone, Afonso Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Pereira came out of the goal and Afonso Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diogo Lopes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Cláudio Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mário Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Viegas made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Mário Brás sent off a good shot on target. Cláudio Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. David Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alares FC's Ricardo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Cabral in the 25th minute of play. Ricardo Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Cabral in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes SC Pracerias got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Correia. Cristóvão Vaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Viegas. SC Pracerias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Afonso Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Pracerias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alares FC the free kick. The supporters of Alares FC booed when SC Pracerias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alares FC's Luís Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SC Pracerias players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Alares FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
