If Armando Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexandre Bessa scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Faria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Lapinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Bessa came free, but Rui Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Leal struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Rui Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lardosa. Rui Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Bessa in the 23rd minute of play. Oliveira Faro was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Amadeu Carneiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amadeu Carneiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Joaquim Matias fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lapinhas FC's protests and gave Joaquim Matias a yellow card for diving instead. 35 minutes into the match, Lardosa's Bernardo Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Faria having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Armando Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Lapinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Matias to maneuver through the defense. Lapinhas FC's Rui Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Leal in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeu Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Faro having to interfere. Xavier Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oliveira Faro having to make a save. If Amadeu Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Lapinhas FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Heitor Campos hit a great ball. When Alexandre Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Lardosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Bessa couldn't finish the play. After 88 played minutes Lardosa got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Antunes. Armando Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rui Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 minutes of play, Lapinhas FC's Amadeu Carneiro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliveira Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lapinhas FC had won after a very even match.
