Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Catarinoes's Bruno Baptista started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Catarinoes's Lúcio Leiria got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cândido Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ricardo Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bruno Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Jesus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sérgio Andrade's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Fandinhais FC's Viriato Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Baptista in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fandinhais FC's goalkeeper Viriato Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Gil Baptista shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viriato Vaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Bernardo Brito fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Catarinoes's protests and gave Bernardo Brito a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Catarinoes! When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Fandinhais FC's Abel Matos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ricardo Jesus. Ricardo Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sérgio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cândido Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ricardo Jesus made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio Andrade to make the kick off. José Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 54 minutes of play, Fandinhais FC's Cândido Leão made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Jesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afonso Correia's late challenge caught a SC Catarinoes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Correia helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, João Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viriato Vaz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Lúcio Leiria sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Fandinhais FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Manuel Gaspar hit a great ball. Bruno Baptista took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Vaz. Viriato Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Bruno Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Viriato Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cândido Leão came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Fandinhais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Leão couldn't finish the play. Cândido Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ricardo Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
