An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Joel Nogueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 19 minutes into the match, Gatinheira's goalkeeper João Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Nogueira. If Joel Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Malveira FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Cardoso came free, but Pedro Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Malveira FC's André Veiga got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game António Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malveira FC's Pedro Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emílio Cabral during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes Gatinheira got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Cabral. António Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If António Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Joel Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Neves made a kick off. When Henrique Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malveira FC's protests and gave Henrique Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Malveira FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Henrique Pinho hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Rafael Ferro could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Pedro Melo however easily saved by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Malveira FC's goalkeeper Pedro Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Ferro. Malveira FC's Joel Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Melo having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Malveira FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Cardoso came free, but Pedro Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Cardoso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rafael Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Melo having to interfere. João Rocha came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Malveira FC's Joel Nogueira. But to his dismay, Joel Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 83rd play minute Rafael Ferro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Melo. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Ferro in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Melo saved Malveira FC from getting behind. Gatinheira's António Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Malveira FC's Joel Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Neves in the 93rd minute of play. Carlos Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Rocha having to interfere.
