Reguengos FC's Rafael Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Reguengos FC from getting a goal against them. Manuel Brás struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Rafael Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Paranhos. Miguel Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Domingos Rodrigues made the kick off in the second half. Miguel Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Paranhos's Álvaro Machado tried to score from far away in the 52nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Rodrigues got free with Nuno Moutinho in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Domingos Rodrigues dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nuno Moutinho, 2-1. Rafael Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Brás in the 78th minute of the match. 2-2 became the score in the 80th minute when Domingos Rodrigues elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Reguengos FC's Rafael Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Brás in the 87th minute of play. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Sebastião Assis sped through Reguengos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Nunes. Reguengos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
