Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tacoes FC's Augusto Guerreiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Matacais's Carlos Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 9 played minutes Tacoes FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Oliveira. A collision led to Matacais getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rafael Henriques hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Augusto Guerreiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Assunção. Augusto Guerreiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Tacoes FC's Jorge Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Macedo in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Matacais's zone, Augusto Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Assunção came out of the goal and Augusto Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Reis having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Matacais's goalkeeper André Assunção had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Assunção. Augusto Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. André Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Matacais getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Emanuel Ramos hit a great ball. In the 41st minute of the match Rafael Henriques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Reis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes Tacoes FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Leal. Matacais's Gaspar Aguiar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tacoes FC. 46 minutes into the match, Tacoes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Vieira came free, but Jorge Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 49 minutes into the game, Cláudio Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jorge Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cláudio Macedo was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, José Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacoes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Assunção was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Assunção stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Guerreiro's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Augusto Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Assunção having to interfere. If José Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Ricardo Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Guerreiro in the 71st minute of play. After 74 minutes, Jorge Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacoes FC and the Matacais players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jorge Reis was a little too slow when Cláudio Macedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-3. André Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Assunção in the 81st minute of the match. André Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Matacais getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Emanuel Ramos hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Lisboa during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Matacais booed when Tacoes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matacais's Gaspar Aguiar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tacoes FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Guerreiro in the 96th minute of play forced Matacais's goalkeeper André Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matacais walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
