Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fernando Guerreiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. SC Pomares's Eduardo Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Pinheiro in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Vicente Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Pomares's Eduardo Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vicente Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Oliveira Aguiar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Magalhães, 1-0. Eduardo Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliveira Aguiar in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the SC Pomares defense, Oliveira Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Magalhães. The SC Pomares fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Magalhães should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes, SC Pomares's Augusto Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Domingos Magalhães came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Pomares reached it. The audience was convinced that Fernando Guerreiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingos Magalhães was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the game, Bernardo Setúbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Albarrol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pomares the free kick. Bernardo Setúbal hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Heitor Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Nogueira to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Américo Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Oliveira Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Albarrol's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliveira Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, Fernando Guerreiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Domingos Magalhães, 3-1. Eduardo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, SC Pomares's Heitor Aleixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Nogueira in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Pomares's goalkeeper Eduardo Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Heitor Aleixo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 85th match minute, SC Albarrol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Heitor Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Domingos Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Albarrol's Oliveira Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliveira Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Magalhães having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Vicente Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Eduardo Magalhães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SC Pomares's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
