After 2 played minutes SC Albarrol got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Guerreiro. After 4 played minutes SC Albarrol got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Pinheiro. In the 4th minute, Carlos Magalhães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Albarrol's Domingos Magalhães didn't even have to move. If Óscar Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Artur Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arneiro 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Anjos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Óscar Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Domingos Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arneiro 's Armindo Delgado got a free kick in the 26th minute. Cândido Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliveira Aguiar went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 31 played minutes Arneiro got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Jesus. Domingos Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Machado in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingos Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Oliveira Aguiar took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cândido Ribeiro. Cândido Ribeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Óscar Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arneiro 's supporters rose to their feet, but Óscar Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Arneiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Albarrol were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Vicente Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Albarrol booed when Arneiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliveira Aguiar got free with Cândido Ribeiro in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mariano Pinheiro during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Albarrol's Mariano Pinheiro got a free kick in the 55th minute. The supporters of Arneiro booed when SC Albarrol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Óscar Jesus's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Arneiro 's Artur Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Óscar Jesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artur Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Arneiro players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
