An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Rocha in the 4th minute of play forced SC Alvarinhas's goalkeeper Joaquim Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Alexandre Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Sevivas's Alexandre Rocha got a free kick in the 8th minute. When David Torres came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SC Alvarinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Torres couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Faria in the 16th minute of play. Joaquim Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Rocha's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Sandro Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Joaquim Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, David Torres reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vasco Macedo. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of SC Sevivas booed when SC Alvarinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Sevivas's Vasco Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Torres in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, SC Alvarinhas's Jorge Ferreira made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasco Macedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jorge Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SC Alvarinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Jorge Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Macedo having to interfere.
