A collision led to Inculca getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sérgio Matias hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Cidadelha's Paulo Reis tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Abel Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joel Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Silva in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Borges saved Inculca from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Diamantino Anjos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Mota in the 29th minute of play forced Inculca's goalkeeper Abel Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Diogo Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Pinheiro in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes, Viriato Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cidadelha and the Inculca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Cidadelha's Viriato Neves got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fernando Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Delgado having to interfere. If Joel Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes in the game, Jacinto Mota fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abel Borges having to interfere. Vítor Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Borges having to make a save. Lucas Moura's late challenge caught a SC Cidadelha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Moura helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Moura hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Abel Borges was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jacinto Mota showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. Abel Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Mota in the 61st minute of play. Sérgio Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sérgio Matias hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Paulo Reis, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jacinto Mota did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Abel Borges 71 minutes into the match. Abel Borges made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Vítor Silva sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Alves hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Vítor Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diogo Delgado having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Cidadelha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
