Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jacinto Mota kicked off to start the match. A collision led to SC Cidadelha getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Viriato Neves hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Vicente Gueifão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Delgado. SC Cidadelha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Gueifão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Silva got free with Miguel Nunes in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vicente Gueifão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diogo Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Jacinto Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Abel Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Curalha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 27th minute, Vítor Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Araújo's late challenge caught a SC Curalha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Cidadelha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Diogo Delgado had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Eusébio Miranda's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 32nd minute, Eusébio Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Delgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Vítor Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Curalha's Miguel Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Mota in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to SC Curalha getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alexandre Pinho hit a great ball. Jacinto Mota blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Nunes having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jacinto Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vítor Silva came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SC Cidadelha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Silva couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Miranda's late challenge caught a SC Cidadelha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 78th minute of the match Viriato Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to SC Cidadelha getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Fernando Assis hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Gueifão in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diogo Delgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Cidadelha getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Carlos Machado hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Cidadelha booed when SC Curalha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The SC Curalha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
