Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Amadeu Morais got the match started through his kick off. After 10 played minutes SC Saldanha got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Coelho. 13 minutes into the match, Senande FC's Diamantino Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Luz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emílio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Coimbra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Alberto Coimbra fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 22 minutes into the match, Senande FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Coelho came free, but Pedro Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Senande FC's Diamantino Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diamantino Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Luz having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Saldanha's Emílio Luz got control of the ball when Diamantino Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Luz having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Coimbra to strike the kick off in the second half. Emílio Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play. Artur Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Luz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Coimbra in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Luz saved SC Saldanha from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Saldanha's Alexandre Carneiro got a free kick in the 64th minute. Emílio Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Coimbra in the 68th minute of play. When Amadeu Morais came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the SC Saldanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Morais couldn't finish the play. Hugo Coelho took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Pinto. Pedro Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 75 minutes into the match, Senande FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Morais came free, but Pedro Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Senande FC's Pedro Pinto got control of the ball when Hugo Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Coelhos short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Pedro Pinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Amadeu Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Senande FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Carlos Leite hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Armindo Alves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Senande FC's Pedro Pinto didn't even have to move. Diamantino Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Emílio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Saldanha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Saldanha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
