Correlha's Filipe Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Henriques in the 9th minute of play. Diogo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Murriao getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Viriato Veiga hit a great ball. A hard shot by Pedro Anjos from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Oliveira Monteiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Oliveira Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Tavares in the 17th minute. Catarino Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Tavares got free with Oliveira Monteiro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Catarino Brás showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Catarino Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 2-1 became the score in the 41st minute when Catarino Brás elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Catarino Brás came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Correlha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Brás couldn't finish the play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cláudio Rodrigues made a kick off. If Diogo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Correlha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diogo Henriques fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Cláudio Rodrigues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filipe Soares. That made the score 2-2 in the 57 minute of play. Catarino Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Catarino Brás made a precise shot to the right of Oliveira Monteiro. Murriao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 77 minutes into the match, Correlha's goalkeeper Filipe Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cândido Baptista. If Catarino Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Manuel Reis notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Murriao's Oliveira Monteiro. Oliveira Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Correlha had won after a very even match.
