Dornas's Simão Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Dornas booed when Azenhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes Dornas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Ferreira who took care of the corner kick. Armindo Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Fontes in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Viriato Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dornas's Nuno Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
