Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Armando Ramos kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Joaninho FC defense, Cristóvão Coelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Delgado. The Joaninho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Delgado should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Joaninho FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Simão Gonçalves hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Joaninho FC got a freekick which was hit by David Santos. Cristóvão Coelho struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Luís Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ameixeira. Joaninho FC's Luís Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Vale in the 24th minute of play. Cristóvão Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Delgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute, Albertino Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Armando Ramos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Augusto Vaz, passed just outside the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Coelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Delgado. Joaninho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão Coelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Joaninho FC's Luís Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Vale in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Coelho made a kick off. Luís Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ameixeira's zone, Armando Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Vaz came out of the goal and Armando Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Armando Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joaninho FC's protests and gave Armando Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Joaninho FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Ramos. Cristóvão Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luís Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Joaninho FC booed when Ameixeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Armando Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ameixeira's Cristóvão Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Amorim took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Vaz. Augusto Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After having played for 84 minutes, Francisco Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ameixeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Vaz having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ameixeira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
