After a defensive mix-up in Redouca FC's zone, Joaquim Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Catarino Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Cerdedo's Tiago Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Simões in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Albertino Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute of the match André Vale sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Catarino Araújo skillfully saved the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Catarino Araújo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cristiano Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerdedo's goalkeeper Tiago Rodrigues, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiago Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertino Simões in the 64th minute. Albertino Simões struck a weak shot in the 65th minute.
