Rodrigo Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Nuno Assis made a huge save. If Adelino Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Magalhães got free with Nuno Assis in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, André Barbosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nuno Assis, 1-0. If Rodrigo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Assis having to interfere. When André Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Barcouco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Jorge Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gabriel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gil Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. André Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Afonso Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcouco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Montoito the free kick. After 66 played minutes Barcouco got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Reis. Afonso Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Jorge Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Montoito's Jorge Gomes got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes SC Montoito got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Borges. Barcouco's André Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Magalhães in the 77th minute of play. Adelino Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gabriel Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Rodrigo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Gomes's late challenge caught a Barcouco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Montoito! Nuno Assis went to the wrong direction when Eusébio Fernandes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lourenço Cardoso during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, SC Montoito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Assis having to interfere. Adelino Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Borges in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barcouco had won after a very even match.
