Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Mendo's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Fernandes came free, but Abel Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Luís Amaro sped through Moita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Rodrigues. Cristiano Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Cristiano Rodrigues made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Cristiano Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendo's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mendo's Abel Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Fernandes in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Moita's Oliveira Soares got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Amaro in the 25th minute of play forced Moita's goalkeeper Cristiano Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mendo's Abel Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Fernandes in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Manuel Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Cristiano Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cristiano Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Luís Amaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Amaro in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Luz in the 68th minute of play forced Moita's goalkeeper Cristiano Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute Luís Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Amaro in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Rodrigues saved Moita from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mendo's zone, Américo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Pacheco came out of the goal and Américo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Manuel Moniz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Abel Pacheco. The goal made the score 2-1. Manuel Fontes hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Américo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Pacheco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Moniz in the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mendo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Moita had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
