André Gomes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Augusto Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Resende was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Raul Campos succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Raul Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manhenha FC's Augusto Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasco Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Remedios booed when Manhenha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Cândido Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute Cândido Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Resende having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Campos in the 30th minute of play forced SC Remedios's goalkeeper Adolfo Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Campos in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Manhenha FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Augusto Gonçalves hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cândido Neto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vasco Resende. That made the score 2-1 in the 40 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Neto made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Manhenha FC's Pedro Oliveira got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes, SC Remedios's Augusto Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasco Resende came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Remedios reached it. Cândido Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasco Resende having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Adolfo Resende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice moves Augusto Gonçalves could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Adolfo Resende however easily saved by the left post. Cândido Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Resende having to interfere. Vasco Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cândido Neto in the 75th minute of the match. Adolfo Resende was a little too slow when Raul Campos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 82nd minute, Raul Campos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 97th match minute, SC Remedios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Melo to maneuver through the defense.
