The Meceares FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Setúbal should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Meceares FC's José Vaz got a free kick in the 11th minute. Meceares FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oliveira Gomes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Figueiredo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. In the 24th minute, Rafael Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Fontes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Setúbal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Gomes having to interfere. José Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Meceares FC's Gonçalo Almeida got a free kick in the 35th minute. Basílio Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Setúbal. Meceares FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Rafael Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliveira Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vaz in the 42nd minute of play. 51 minutes into the match, Meceares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Fontes came free, but Manuel Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Vaz to make the kick off. José Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Gomes having to interfere. Joaquim Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When André Faria fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bouceiro FC's protests and gave André Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Bouceiro FC got a freekick which was hit by André Faria. In the 72nd minute Júlio Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveira Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Rafael Fontes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manuel Setúbal, 1-2. Júlio Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joaquim Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meceares FC's Manuel Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Fontes in the 88th minute of play. If Basílio Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Meceares FC's José Vaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliveira Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Cruz's late challenge caught a Meceares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. Oliveira Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Gonçalves in the 101st minute of play forced Bouceiro FC's goalkeeper Oliveira Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bouceiro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
