After a rather tough play, Penaventosa FC's Óscar Gonçalves got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that João Monteiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Anjos was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. A collision led to SC Nesperido getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Carvalho got free with Armando Paredes in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Carvalho during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Nesperido booed when Penaventosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Nesperido! Gil Melo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Monteiro to make the kick off. Armindo Setúbal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Henrique Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SC Nesperido defense, Nuno Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Paredes. The SC Nesperido fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Paredes should have stopped the shot. Armando Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Esteves in the 83rd minute of the match. Gil Melo, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nuno Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Penaventosa FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
