Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Santaes's Lourenço Cabral started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Anjos's late challenge caught a SC Santaes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Fermentaos's Nuno Anjos got a free kick in the 9th minute. Catarino Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Coelho in the 11th minute of play. Lourenço Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Raul Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Fermentaos got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Anjos. Alexandre Leiria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Raul Henriques. Fermentaos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raul Henriques made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Manuel Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Anjos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, SC Santaes's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Coelho came free, but Catarino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Henriques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lourenço Cabral's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Raul Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Rafael Coelho made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Rafael Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fermentaos's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catarino Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Coelho in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Alexandre Leiria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Henriques skillfully saved the ball. SC Santaes's Lourenço Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fermentaos's zone, Manuel Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Henriques came out of the goal and Manuel Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Raul Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fermentaos's Raul Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Cabral in the 77th minute of play. Raul Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Cabral in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Manuel Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Raul Henriques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 88 minutes, Viriato Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fermentaos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viriato Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
