The referee ignored SC Real's protests and gave Fernando Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes SC Real got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Anjos. When Carlos Soares came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Patusca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Soares couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Filipe Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heitor Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Miranda in the 23rd minute of play.
