Nuno Marques was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lucas Morais. In the 18th match minute, Mendes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Assis to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Teixeira in the 20th minute of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when José Teixeira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nuno Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Pacheco in the 30th minute. Esporoes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cândido Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 60 played minutes Mendes FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Assis. Jacinto Vieira made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Cândido Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Jorge Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Teixeira couldn't finish the play.
