Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sandro Esteves kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, SC Merceana's Afonso Vieira got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Daniel Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. With his leg Marco Fernandes managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when SC Merceana's André Castro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 11 minutes, Sandro Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Merceana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when André Castro sent off a good shot on target. If Joaquim Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Daniel Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Merceana's Sandro Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 minutes, David Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oledo FC and the SC Merceana players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Oledo FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. David Tavares hit a great ball. André Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Henriques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Vaz went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 30 played minutes Oledo FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Morais. Daniel Vaz scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Henriques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristóvão Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 44 minutes into the game, one of SC Merceana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Vaz made the kick off in the second half. If Daniel Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Cruz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Henriques. SC Merceana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sandro Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Castro struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Marco Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Merceana. In the 64th minute, Sandro Esteves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Merceana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The referee gave SC Merceana a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristóvão Reis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Oledo FC's Marco Fernandes. 2-3. Alberto Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Vaz in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Vaz in the 76th minute of play forced SC Merceana's goalkeeper Alberto Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Merceana's zone, David Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Henriques came out of the goal and David Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes SC Merceana got a freekick which was hit by Mário Freitas. Oledo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Campos in the 100th minute. In the 102nd minute of the match João Abreu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Henriques skillfully saved the ball.
