After a rather tough play, SC Nagosa's Amílcar Dias got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Inácio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Delfim Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Moutinho hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Rui Silva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chorente were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after SC Nagosa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rui Silva took the corner. The corner ended in Rui Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Nagosa's Delfim Amorim did a great save. SC Nagosa's Delfim Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Fontes in the 16th minute of play. João Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Cunha having to interfere. João Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlos Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Melo in the 29th minute of the match. When João Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SC Nagosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Rocha couldn't finish the play. Sandro Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Chorente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Carlos Melo scored to the left of an out of position Sandro Cunha, making the score, 0-1. Sandro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, João Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Nagosa's supporters rose to their feet, but João Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Heitor Santarém fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chorente's protests and gave Heitor Santarém a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Nagosa booed when Chorente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Cunha made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when João Rocha sent off a good shot on target. After 63 played minutes Chorente got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Paiva. In the 66th minute of the match SC Nagosa got a corner. Chorente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. João Vaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SC Nagosa's corner João Vaz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sandro Cunha quite easily take care of the ball. Delfim Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When João Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SC Nagosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Rocha couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inácio Fontes during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Chorente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Fontes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Nagosa's João Vaz tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carlos Melo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Sandro Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Nagosa. André Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. André Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Delfim Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Chorente fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Nagosa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
