The supporters of SC Bilhares booed when SC Abecao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingos Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Amaro having to interfere. Júlio Guarda charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Guarda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Abecao! Joaquim Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nuno Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Leão struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Pedro Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bilhares. 33 minutes into the match, SC Bilhares's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Moreira came free, but Fernando Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Nuno Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bilhares's goalkeeper Fernando Anjos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristóvão Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Vicente Martins fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Abecao's protests and gave Vicente Martins a yellow card for diving instead.

In the 61st minute, Joaquim Moreira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fernando Anjos, passed just outside the right post. 62 minutes into the match, Nuno Setúbal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Anjos. SC Bilhares's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Setúbal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to SC Bilhares getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gabriel Melo hit a great ball. Fernando Anjos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Júlio Guarda. Joaquim Moreira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. SC Abecao's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Júlio Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Assunção in the 78th minute of play forced SC Abecao's goalkeeper Pedro Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Assunção in the 79th minute of the match. Manuel Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pedro Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Abecao's goalkeeper Pedro Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
