Alcantarilha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fatauncos the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alcantarilha FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Fatauncos. Xavier Coelho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Santarém. 1-1. The supporters of Fatauncos booed when Alcantarilha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Xavier Coelho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Alcantarilha FC's Eusébio Santarém didn't even have to move. Jorge Nunes struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Eusébio Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fatauncos. Eusébio Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Nunes in the 31st minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Miguel Tavares in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vítor Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Domingos Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emílio Campos fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fatauncos's protests and gave Emílio Campos a yellow card for diving instead. Emílio Campos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Marques in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Miguel Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Eusébio Santarém was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Miguel Tavares made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Miguel Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Eusébio Santarém. Alcantarilha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Alcantarilha FC's zone, Miguel Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Santarém came out of the goal and Miguel Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 58 played minutes Fatauncos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Nunes. Vítor Ferro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Jorge Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Alcantarilha FC booed when Fatauncos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Vítor Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Domingos Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Paiva during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Ricardo Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fatauncos were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Alcantarilha FC to leave the ground with a draw.
