Gabriel Gaspar came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ricardo Leite could save by the left post. Hélder Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Morais in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Hélder Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Leite having to interfere. Jorge Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ricardo Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Simões having to interfere. After 41 played minutes, Farrapa's Jaime Macedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cândido Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Farrapa reached it. Cândido Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Faria in the 43rd minute of play. Hélder Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hélder Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farrapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cândido Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hélder Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Pinheiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Cândido Simões when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th match minute, SC Murgido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Correia to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Rui Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Farrapa's Paulo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Henrique Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, SC Murgido's goalkeeper Cândido Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Pinheiro. Cândido Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 0-1 became the score in the 96th minute when Hélder Pinheiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Farrapa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Murgido.
