Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlos Simões got the match started through his kick off. SC Freiao's Hélder Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Simões in the 5th minute of play. Joaquim Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, Alcorochel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Morais to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Freiao's Manuel Torres got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Alcorochel FC's Fábio Cruz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. SC Freiao's Manuel Torres got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Manuel Torres off the ground. Manuel Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Fábio Cruz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélder Faria. SC Freiao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, SC Freiao's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Simões came free, but Hélder Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Miguel Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joaquim Silva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute Miguel Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute Nuno Morais suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 46 played minutes SC Freiao got a freekick which was hit by António Fonseca. The Alcorochel FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Freiao were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Antunes to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Alcorochel FC's Carlos Simões got a free kick in the 67th minute. SC Freiao's Miguel Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Alcorochel FC's zone, Miguel Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Silva came out of the goal and Miguel Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes in the game, Miguel Antunes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Carlos Simões hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Miguel Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Silva having to interfere. Miguel Antunes took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Silva. Joaquim Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 84th minute, Bento Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Hélder Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bento Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Faria having to interfere. The SC Freiao supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Freiao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
