In the 2nd match minute, Arroios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Santos to maneuver through the defense. Luís Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Mota in the 6th minute of the match. When Heitor Leal fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arroios FC's protests and gave Heitor Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Heitor Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Alexandre Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Luís Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Matias having to interfere. Fernando Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Viriato Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Setúbal in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Alexandre Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cabecinha FC booed when Arroios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eusébio Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arroios FC's protests and gave Eusébio Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Arroios FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Cabral. Paulo Mota struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Luís Matias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabecinha FC. After 44 played minutes Arroios FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Almeida. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. Sebastião Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Setúbal in the 53rd minute of the match. António Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cabecinha FC's Domingos Moreira got a free kick in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Arroios FC's Hélder Veiga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Setúbal in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Setúbal in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Almeida saved Cabecinha FC from getting behind. Paulo Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Matias having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, António Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arroios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Azevedo in the 84th minute of play forced Arroios FC's goalkeeper Luís Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Paulo Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabecinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Matias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th match minute, Arroios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Matias having to interfere. Paulo Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Luís Matias made a huge save. Luís Matias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
