Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cândido Paredes started the match with the kick off. Emílio Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 9 minutes Rilvas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Correia who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to SC Penedono's Cândido Paredes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pedro Delgado made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Emanuel Abreu sent off a good shot on target. After 12 minutes of play, Rilvas FC's Jorge Cruz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Assis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Paulo Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Penedono fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Carvalho couldn't finish the play. José Assis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Bento Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Penedono's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rilvas FC the free kick. Bento Pinto hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Ricardo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Assis having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Jorge Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Paulo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Penedono's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Assis having to interfere. The SC Penedono players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rilvas FC were winning 0-1.

José Assis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Amorim in the 52nd minute. If Paulo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Ricardo Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Penedono's zone, Amílcar Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Assis came out of the goal and Amílcar Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes, Emanuel Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Penedono and the Rilvas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes SC Penedono got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Abreu. SC Penedono's José Assis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Cruz in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Ricardo Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rilvas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute Jorge Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jorge Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Cruz in the 75th minute of the match. If Ricardo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Penedono's Bento Pinto got a free kick in the 79th minute. A hard shot by José Macedo from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got José Assis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Jorge Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Abreu was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Emanuel Abreu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SC Penedono's José Assis got control of the ball when Ricardo Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Assis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Cruz in the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Penedono's Bento Pinto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jorge Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. José Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rilvas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
