Afonso Maia had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Armindo Santos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Afonso Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Luz having to interfere. Manuel Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute Lúcio Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carreira's Afonso Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Morais in the 87th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Carreira's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Nogueira came free, but Afonso Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Armindo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carreira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
