Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Avintes FC's Cristóvão Figueiredo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Queirós got free with Tomás Reis in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Barbosa having to interfere. Luís Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristóvão Figueiredo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luís Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Figueiredo in the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Alvaro got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Amaral. When Cristóvão Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Avintes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. If Cristóvão Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Antunes's late challenge caught a Avintes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alvaro getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nuno Antunes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alvaro's zone, Cristóvão Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Barbosa came out of the goal and Cristóvão Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avintes FC's Cristóvão Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Machado made a kick off. Tomás Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Alvaro's Luís Barbosa got control of the ball when Cristóvão Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, João Machado put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tomás Reis. In the 64th match minute, Avintes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Borges to maneuver through the defense. João Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Costa's late challenge caught a Avintes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alvaro's Sandro Costa got a free kick in the 71st minute. Tomás Reis came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Alvaro's João Machado. But to his dismay, João Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. With an all-out effort, Avintes FC's Luís Barbosa threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristóvão Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The attack was good, but when Mariano Queirós in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Mariano Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Barbosa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Rocha in the 97th minute of play forced Alvaro's goalkeeper Luís Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
