Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Manuel Rodrigues made the kick off which started today's match. Adelino Santarém hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Alfarela's Fernando Aleixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Alfarela from getting a goal against them. After 13 played minutes Ferraria got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Queirós. After having played for 20 minutes, Eusébio Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfarela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mário Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Aleixo having to make a save. Afonso Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Alfarela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Afonso Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Adelino Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alfarela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Moura got free with Fernando Aleixo in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adelino Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Aleixo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Mário Moura sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Alfarela getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nuno Gomes hit a great ball. Fernando Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Adelino Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusébio Simões to make the kick off. After 54 minutes Ferraria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oliveira Veiga who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Alfarela's Tomás Pires getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Adelino Santarém kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Castro. That made the score 0-1 in the 61 minute of play. A collision led to Ferraria getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vasco Queirós hit a great ball. When Alfarela's Eusébio Simões in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ferraria's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Alfarela's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Moura came free, but Fernando Aleixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bernardo Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Manuel Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes Alfarela got a freekick which was hit by Mário Cabral. Mário Moura struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Fernando Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ferraria. Mário Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Rodrigues in the 96th minute of play forced Alfarela's goalkeeper Fernando Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfarela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
