Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Parchal's Américo Coimbra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esposende FC's Gil Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Simões in the 4th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Esposende FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Ribeiro. Cristiano Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gabriel Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristiano Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes SC Parchal got a freekick which was hit by Simão Melo. When Filipe Maia came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Esposende FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Maia couldn't finish the play. After 22 played minutes SC Parchal got a freekick which was hit by Simão Melo. 23 minutes into the match, Esposende FC's Filipe Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Barros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Parchal getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. David Barros hit a great ball. Cristiano Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When David Barros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. In the 37th minute Filipe Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gaspar Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filipe Maia to make the kick off. António Freitas hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 58 played minutes Esposende FC got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Ribeiro. The supporters of Esposende FC booed when SC Parchal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Martins struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gabriel Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esposende FC. A collision led to SC Parchal getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Américo Coimbra hit a great ball. Esposende FC's Henrique Carneiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Parchal. SC Parchal's Gabriel Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Maia in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the SC Parchal defense, Cristiano Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Silva. The SC Parchal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Silva should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Filipe Maia notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Parchal's Gabriel Silva. Gabriel Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Esposende FC's zone, Gaspar Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Marques came out of the goal and Gaspar Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Gil Marques made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Gaspar Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Parchal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
