When Amadeu Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the SC Lagedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeu Santarém couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Rocha in the 17th minute of play forced Trogal's goalkeeper Bento Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Óscar Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bento Araújo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 28th play minutes Amadeu Santarém shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Bento Araújo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 30th minute, Manuel Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Rocha in the 32nd minute of play. Mariano Aleixo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The supporters of Trogal booed when SC Lagedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Rocha scored 1-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bento Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half SC Lagedo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Rocha to make the kick off. Vasco Soares hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trogal's zone, Daniel Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bento Araújo came out of the goal and Daniel Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SC Lagedo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Luís Fontes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Rocha in the 73rd minute of play forced SC Lagedo's goalkeeper Mariano Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, SC Lagedo's Amadeu Santarém nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bento Araújo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Amadeu Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bento Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Rocha in the 90th minute of play forced Trogal's goalkeeper Bento Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Rocha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Trogal's Bento Araújo got control of the ball when Amadeu Santarém tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Aleixo having to interfere. The SC Lagedo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
