Eusébio Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Teixeira in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Emanuel Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Franca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golega FC the free kick. 14 minutes into the game, one of SC Franca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Golega FC. João Melo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Assunção. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Leite in the 19th minute of play forced Golega FC's goalkeeper Rogério Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bento Faria hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Moutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, SC Franca's Rogério Faro threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriel Moutinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gabriel Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Gabriel Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Rogério Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
