Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Golega FC's Domingos Teixeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Carragozela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Faro having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Carragozela FC's Nuno Trindade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Faro. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. In the 15th minute, Nuno Trindade fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rogério Faro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Garcia in the 17th minute. Rogério Faro had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nuno Trindade from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. André Queirós's late challenge caught a Golega FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carragozela FC! Emílio Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Rogério Faro made a huge save. The supporters of Carragozela FC booed when Golega FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45thth minute Emílio Garcia got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Rogério Faro was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. Rogério Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Trindade in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Nuno Trindade made the kick off in the second half. Rogério Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Garcia in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golega FC's goalkeeper Rogério Faro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Carragozela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Teixeira came free, but Carlos Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Trindade struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Rogério Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carragozela FC. Rogério Faro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Trindade's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Golega FC's zone, Emílio Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Faro came out of the goal and Emílio Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Garcia in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Teixeira in the 72nd minute of play forced Carragozela FC's goalkeeper Carlos Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Teixeira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 80 minutes into the match, Emílio Garcia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Faro. Golega FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emílio Garcia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 84th minute of the match Manuel Bessa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Faro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rogério Faro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Trindade went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 94th match minute, Carragozela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. When Domingos Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Golega FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Golega FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
