In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Casconho's goalkeeper Francisco Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fábio Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Casconho booed when Campainha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Cabral having to interfere. Fernando Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Farias short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Diamantino Faro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fernando Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Diamantino Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Augusto Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
